She loves her mama's lemonade,
Hates the sound that goodbyes make.
She prays one day she'll find someone to need her.
She swears that there's no difference,
Between the lies and compliments.
It's all the same if everybody leaves her.

And every magazine tells her she's not good enough,
The pictures that she sees make her cry.

And she would change everything, everything just ask her.
Caught in the in between*, a *beautiful disaster,
And she just needs someone to take her home.

She's giving boys what they want, tries to act so nonchalant,
Afraid they'll see that she's lost her direction.
She never stays the same for long,
Assuming that she'll get it wrong.
Perfect only in her imperfection.

She's not a drama queen,
She doesn't want to feel this way, only seventeen but tired

She would change everything for happy ever after.
Caught in the in between, a beautiful disaster,
But she just needs someone to take her home.

Cuz she's just the way she is, but no ones told her that's ok.

And she would change everything, everything just ask her.
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster,

And she would change everything for happy ever after.
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster,

But she just needs someone to take her home
And she just needs someone to take her home.

This coming weekend my best friend is getting married...ahhh. So much to look forward to this week (as soon as I get better from this cold). I have the rest of the week off for these fine wedding festivities! So it's sure to be a good week. I just can't believe it!!! She is getting married! It's so hard to find all the appropriate words to say to someone to express your happiness for them, but I am going attempt that in my Maid of Honor speech! Yikes! So since I have been thinking about weddings so much recently I have also been looking around at different wedding music and this is a BEAUTIFUL song I found...

The Wedding Song
(There Is Love)
by Noel Paul Stookey

He is now to be among you at the calling of your hearts.
Rest assured this troubadour is acting on his part.
The union of your spirits here, has caused Him to remain.
For whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name,
There is love.  There is love.

A man shall leave his mother and a woman leave her home.
And they shall travel on to where the two shall be as one.
As it was in the beginning is now and till the end.
Woman draws her life from man and gives it back again.
And there is love.  There is love.

Well then what's to be the reason for becoming man and wife?
Is it love that brings you here or love that brings you life?
And if loving is the answer, then who's the giving for?
Do you believe in something that you've never seen before?
Oh there's love, there is love.

Oh the marriage of your spirits here has caused Him to remain.
For whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name.
There is love. There is love.

Life is good. Life. is. good.

When All That's Left Is You

An update, an update...it's been so long since I've updated...and by that I mean a true update about what's been going on...so here we go:

I just got back on Thursday from Playa de Car, Mexico. I spent a week there with my family and had a GREAT time. The weather (as you could imagine) was AMAZING, I didn't want to leave that, but I was ready to get back to a routine by the end of the trip...too many things build up & stay on your mind for what you need/should be doing and so one can only take being away for so long...or at least that is what I found to be the case with me...what's my problem?

Um, lets see what else...oh! I am looking to buy a bike. Yes, all of the sudden I have an urge to get a bike and not just a huffy people, we're talking serious mountain bike...which is so strange...me and a mountain bike...do I hear Colorado calling my name??? perhaps... But funny story with that, as there always should be a funny story to go along with my ambitious ideas/dreams. I went to this new bike shop in down town B-town called Rides. I figured I would get some good advice about something I don't know much about. And good advice I got. Turns out Joe knows a thing or two about bikes...Lauren...not so much. He asked me what type I was looking for; a road or a mountain...I thought oh, for sure a road bike, I won't be going on any mountain trails any time soon, then he asked the price range I was looking at to which he replied, "well for a good road bike you are gonna wanna spend around $1000." Then he brought me over to take a look at the road bike selection, okay I thought, this is not the type of bike I wanted, haha, it looked like a motorcylce! Turns out I did want a mountain bike. And I think I found one! After a lot of strange questions from me and even me asking to pick up the bike to see how much it weighed I was all set to with some new information, and not to mention a bike that I actually liked and think it will be perfect for me. I tell you what though, everything is always something with me...haha.

Let me think what else...I'm getting so excited for Nellie's wedding in July. I am planning a shower for her and that is coming up in May--so EXCITED for that too!

But other than that I think that is all THE BIG stuff going on with me. I am well, things are well and lately I've been missing all you guys, my friends that is...so a call or a note or a stop by the home or office will be welcomed with open arms!!! Miss you all, love you all!

Blessings, blessings, blessings!

This is such a cute song...I heard it the other day and now I'm passing it along! Yeah Plain White Tees!!!

Hey there Delilah,

What’s it like in New York City?
I’m a thousand miles away,
But girl tonight you look so pretty,
Yes you do,
Time Square can’t shine as bright as you,
I swear it’s true.

Hey there Delilah,
Don’t you worry about the distance,
I’m right there if you get lonely,
Give this song another listen,
Close your eyes,
Listen to my voice it’s my disguise,
I’m by your side.

Oh it’s what you do to me,
Oh it’s what you do to me,
Oh it’s what you do to me,
Oh it’s what you do to me,
What you do to me.

Hey there Delilah,
I know times are getting hard,
But just believe me girl some day,
I'll pay the bills with this guitar,
We'll have it good,
We'll have the life we knew we would,
My word is good.

Hey there Delilah,
I’ve got so much left to say,
If every simple song I wrote to you,
Would take your breath away,
I’d write it all,
Even more in love with me you’d fall,
We’d have it all.

Oh it’s what you do to me,
Oh it’s what you do to me,
Oh it’s what you do to me,
Oh it’s what you do to me.

A thousand miles seems pretty far,
But they’ve got planes and trains and cars,
I’d walk to you if I had no other way,
Our friends would all make fun of us,
And we'll just laugh along because,
We know that none of them have felt this way,
Delilah I can promise you,
That by the time that we get through,
The world will never ever be the same,
And you’re to blame.

Hey there Delilah you be good,
And don’t you miss me,
Two more years and you’ll be done with school,
And I'll be making history,
Like I do,
You’ll know it's all because of you,
We can do whatever we want to,
Hey there Delilah here's to you,
This one’s for you.

Oh it’s what you do to me,
Oh it’s what you do to me,
Oh it’s what you do to me,
Oh it’s what you do to me,
What you do to me.

Ohhh
